Sounds good, replaced water pump and checked to make sure thermostat is opening and closing, constant reading of 145-150 at thermostat housing.

Service manual doesn't list overheat warning temp but most engine overheat activates about 180 degrees, sounds like false reading. HDS readout may be in Celsius.

    BF50D Operating Temp

What is the normal operating temp range.

At what Temperature does the alarm and idiot light energize.

I am getting temp as high as 212 on my Lowrance HDS 7 nmea 2000 readout At full throttle and 185-190 cruising at 4500. Sea water temp is 80deg.

I have great overboard water stream and no alarm or light.

Thinking the nmea readout may be off.

    Thanks
    Bob
