  • 2006 Honda BF150A Won't start after running on idle for a while

I own a World Cat with two 2006 Honda BF150A engines. Recently the starboard engine has failed to start after running at speed for a while and then idling. When shutdown, it will not restart unless it is allowed to remain in shutdown mode for about an hour. The port engine does fine under these circumstances. This same engine also continues to stall at low speed while backing into the slip after prolonged use. These are new problems this season. Have owned them since new. Can anyone help?

Does the high pressure fuel pump run when turn key on? Check fuel pressure when cranking over. Is fuel primer bulb pump up firm? The stalling could be a problem with idle control valve, need to have it checked and checked for any fault codes.

Thank you! I will check these things. Probably will need to get mechanic involved since I don't have equipment to check fuel pressure and fault codes.
