I have bought a new side remote control from boats.net for my 225 and digital tacho and supposedly necessary harnesses. The new remote has only the 7 individual wires coming out of it. The main harness only connects to the 14 pin plug in engine, I have nothing to connect to the six pin plug in the engine. Because I bought the digital tacho I presumed I don't need any of the control panels with the alarms on them as they are on tacho?? What do I need???

PS: I got original part numbers for remote control and harness from my dealer. The remote was 24800ZW4H13 and the main harness was 06326ZY3801. I was sent 24800ZW4H14 and 32540ZY3800AHR as Boats.Net said these were the replacement parts for what I had ordered.

PPS: Can nobody help me??????. Can anyone at least tell me if there is a six wire harness that I can buy with one six pin plug each end. One male, one female????

The 32540-ZY3-800AHR is for 2004 and up engines using the digital tach, it connects to the 6 pin connector on main harness and to tach. The main harness should have the 14 pin and the 6 pin connector at engine end.
