Honda for some reason doesn't put the model number on the motor but when you try to look parts it list it by model and serial number.

I have a BF90 serial # BBBE 1008110

Can you tell me what year it is?

I couldn't find a BBBE serial, if it's
BBBL-1008110 or BBBU-1008110 then its model BF90AT made in 1996-1997.
BBBJ-1008110 then its model BF90AW made in 1998.

I have checked the serial number several times. I even put some white powder in it to make it more distinct. I asked my wife to check it. The number is BBBE - 1008110 The E is very clear. Any ideas?

On another subject: Is there a company that does trim and tilt overhauls? My local dealer said he would not work on it.

There was an error in our serial number database, Model BF90AT started with serial number BBBE-1000001 in 1996 and in 1998 the serial number started out BBBE-2000001. So your motor was made between 1996 and 1997.

The power trim and tilt are rebuilt by Honda dealers. Machine shop may can remove the broken bolts
