My first question is I,m at ods weather there will be a parts need difference between a 06 BF50D and a 08 BF50D a question I have in a preceeding post
I have no SN of motor I might be purchacing
Then I am running into some issues with some of the parts needed to convert a BF50D from tiller to remote. From what I have found so far, I will need "remote control kit#24800-zz5-020+ main wire harness #? I only have to go 15ft. I have an idea of what i need but am unshure of the remainder of parts. Do they sell put togeather kits or must I locate the parts on schmatics to put it togeather. I have reviewed currant parts offered for this, but can't find all the parts for a BF50D class mtr (only 20to30hp tiller to remote class) kits (remote control bracket kit for shift+throttle cables # I found is 06522-zw9-000HE)but am unshure if this is for a BF50D?,stearing plate bracket#I can't find at all?,shift+throttle cable#,s for 15ft run? or will my current cables I have with my johnson 48spl remote set up be compattable. Also would like to install a tack so I will need wire harness#?and corresponding tack. Any thing I,m missing as to needed part's????? I have also read of issues with a lack of a tack wire hook up in a BF50D wireing harness?is there?in the newer motors? My current remote set up is on a 16ft fish&ski with a 1989 johnson 48spl (manual tilt) to give some insight into the set up I am looking to retrofit. Lots of questions that require been there and done that answers, Thanks before hand to anyone that is willing to help me and set me up with a part# list. I know its requires alot effort+personal time to do. It will be greatly appreciated.
