Tach and Hour meter for a 2006 BFP15

What would it take to add a real tach and hour meter to a BFP15. The motor has remote controls connected to it already. I have seen several little tachs that might do the job, but the ones I have seen have a battery and only last about 5 years. They also have short leads which means it would have to be mounted around the motor somewhere. I would like to put a real guage in around midship where my TR-1 controls are located.

You can use Tach like 37253-ZW5-000ZA 7K Tach with Hour meter, black face and 32200-ZW7-000AH instrument harness on that motor. Tach would require a 3 3/8 hole to mount and for your motor you would use the 6P setting on tach.

Forgive my ignorance, but is the harness attached near the motor or up near the remote controls?

Connects to control box if has a side mount control box, to ignition switch panel if top mount control box.
