stumped!

I have a honda 9.9 2002 I believe, and it starts then stalls, and it looses spark after it stalls, I wait a while, then it gets spark back, will run for a few mis, then stalls, loosing spark again. Any insights? Is my coil on the fritz?

You would need a peak reading volt meter and a service manual to test ignition components, it could be any of the ignition thats failed.

I can't remember, is there a neutral safety switch on the 9.9? Is this a 9.9d or a 9.9a? I know on the bf75/100/bf8a every now and then the neutral safety switch can cause that sort of problem if it is not adjusted correctly. It can be hard to detect and mis-diagnosed if this is the issue. Good luck.
