Someone driving my Honda 90hp 4stroke shifted from Forward to idle, then reverse too fast (I think). Ever since when I go into reverse at idle speed the prop spins.. but when I give it any gas I hear a clicking sound and the prop stays at idle speed.

My initial thoughts... maybe my shift cable? but I have no clue. Please help. How can I test myself. thanks

Check shift cable connection and adjustment at engine, disconnect cable from engine and see if will shift ok by hand.
