Default replacing verticle shaft bushing on 2002 bf 225

I just replaced the vertical shaft bushing on my 2002 honda 225 and i'm still getting some whirring noise from it. My question is this normal , does it have to break in or reseat to quiet down again? Is there a special way to replace it that i missed , should i try and adjust it or just let it have some time. For what it's worth it's not really loud , but it is still louder than a 2007 bf 225 i heard?

thanks for any input
mike

Default bushing

thanks for the reply, i put grease on it but still have the sound. i didn't know if there was some secret to getting the bushing all the way in . you really have to push it pretty hard to get it to seat high enough to get the metal ring and lock washer on. any techs out there with a tech tip

thanks
