Can anyone tell me which parts I need to convert a 1999 bf25a to remote control? I have gone through the parts drawings and either missed something or didn't understand.
I understand the need for the remote control parts and cables. What I don't see in the diagrams of the tiller version and the remote version are the differences where the throttle rod connects. I know on the tiller there is a drum the cables from the tiller rotate by a pull pull system. On the remote diagram I don't see what replaces this. On the tiller diagram I don't see this part shown. It seems this section of parts is missing on both diagrams. Or am I missing something.
The throttle and shift cables should connect direct to throttle and shift arm on motor, would have to see the outboard to determine parts needed(never done a conversion on that model).
