Default remote Control Box not starting in nuetral

Remote control box is not letting me start in nuetral. I must almost be in gear to start. Is there an adjustment inside?

2008 bf25 motor is not starting in nuetral. I have to be slightly in gear . Appears to be no adjustment problem with shift cable. Thanks.

There is a neutral safety switch on the engine itself. Not knowing which control you have, I do not know if it has a neutral safety switch in there too.

First make sure that the shift is adjusted on the engine so that the neutral safety switch is depressed. Just follow the shift linkage in the motor and you will see it. You just have to adjust where the connector is turned down on the end of the shift cable.

Most of the Honda shifters do not have a neutral safety switch in them. Those that do, should not be connected if the motor has a neutral safety switch.
