hi everone i have a 5hp outboard which has started to pump out engine oil i think through the water pump, its not a huge amount but you dont need much oil to make a film of oil around your boat in the marina its getting embarrising. i have drained the old oil out expecting it to be creamy with water but it wasnt anyone got any idea whats wrong

Have you checked the lower unit gear lube?

yes i drained it down and put new in , i have took the outboard home now and left it standing up overnight and can see creamy oil film seeping out of the 2 lower holes at the prop end what are these holes for any idea
