Default Plugging pee tube on a 2003 Honda 225

The cooling tube below the cowling plugs often over the past 4 years. I unplug it manually with a nail but the next time I stop it replugs. I've had the motor serviced at the local Honda service center yearly since I bought it. Please confirm their explanation that it isn't a substantive problem because there are other cooling vents, sensors and alarms in the motor and system that will prevent damage if I don't notice the cooling jet is plugged.

They say it is caused by salt or foreign body deposition from the water and that it's a very common problem with this Honda engine. They suggested continuing to unplug it or stopping and starting the motor to help dislodge the plug.

Next year when it's serviced they will exteriorize the plugging line and the obstructing external orofice, remove the obstructing piece and fix the internal cooling tube outside of the cowling so it shouldn't plug anymore.

I have always rinsed the motor after all uses with Saltaway solution.

What do you think of the advice?

If it is plugged it wont prevent engine from cooling, it's just an indicator and wont cause it to overheat, might try ****ing it out with compressed air to dislodge any debris.

I have already flushed it out over and over and over and over without success as it continues to partially replug 100% of the time.

My dealer finally shared that the spout only indicates that the impeller is working.

I presume this is a Honda design flaw. I've had too many problems with this one Honda engine since I bought it brand new 6 years ago.
