I have a pre '97 Honda 40 hp outboard. Mono got wrapped around the prop shaft and now the seal is leaking. How hard is that to diy and would I need any special tools? Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give me. Bill

I can't believe nobody has had this happen to thier outboard.

The seal is easy to replace. Installing is pretty straight forward, just tap it in straight a little at a time and make sure the spring on the inside lip stays there. A little grease will keep the spring there.
