B100L-1702177. Can you tell me the year of manufacture? Can you also tell me which range of serial numbers to search in order to find parts? Thanks.

It is a 1985. To look up parts look for the model number BF100F. If it is a short shaft shaft it will be BF100F SA...if long shaft (20") it will be BF100F LA. Honda Outboard Parts Pre-1997
