I have a honda Bf100 9.9hp.
I can not get it to idle at 1200 rpm. It idles at 1460rpm (I have a optical tacho from work). I have cleaned the carb, fuel pump, and fuel strainer in the tank. The plugs are clean and gapped at .026. The pilot valve does not seem to make any change to the idle speed. When idling the rpms hunt up and down. When I put it in to gear there is a nasty clunk.

I have tried turning the pilot valve to get it to the point of highest rpms and then slow the idle speed but it stalls.

Any ideas.
