Default Honda BF 225 Fuel Line Leak

Hello, I'm looking for help with Honda fuel line rigging for 2009 BF 225. I have a fuel leak at the joint, immediately before the engine casing and [i]grey[i] line. My boat has 3/8 inch fuel line from the RACOR to the primer bulb, then from the bulb, through the bulkhead, to the above joint. Just eyeballing the hoses, it appears that the grey line entering the engine is a smaller caliber line throughout.

I have been told by one Honda dealer that the fuel line should be 5/16 the entire length (from the tank etc), but one of the technicians was unable to verify this with the manual. I have been unable to verify this researching the honda site and other posts.

I have also been advised to replace this "plastic joint" just proximal to the engine, with a brass barbed connector and stainless clips, but this does not appear to be what is on the honda sites, and I'm also concerned with possible differences in fuel line caliber, and damage to the engine components.

I have attached some pics, and would appreciate any advise. Thanks CP

My 150 has the gray line from the tank to the motor (5/16"). The black line that you're having the problem with looks wrong (too big) and swollen. An auto parts store (Advance, Auto Zone etc.) should have a brass connector and crimp clamps and fuel line for that matter. Try this place, McMaster-Carr
