Hello im pretty new to outboard repairs i have a honda bf8a today i replaced the water impeller. first i removed the shift cable then removed prop and the bolts it came off ok, well it didnt come out all the way it only seperated about 2 feet but it gave me enough room then i put it all together and when i went through the gears it will only do forward and neutral but i cant get it to go into reverse!! but if i remove the bolts holding the lower unit and pull it down about a quater of a inch i can get it too go into all gears?!? any ideas or advice???
