Default Honda 50HP fuel problem???

Hi, I have a (2005, I think) 50 HP that died on me one day while fishing. Appeared to be a fuel problem. So we removed the carbs and cleaned them out, now the engine will start and run but we still have a problem. The engine seems to idle rough but when given some throttle she'll speed up but if you give her some more throttle (1/4 to full) she'll bog and then eventually pick up speed. What do you guys think may be wrong? Meanwhile, we have changed thermostat and the electric choke mechanism, or auto bystarter assy. Same thing happening.

meanwhile, i have found gas leaking out of the #3 carb, took it apart and found a crack in the small tube jet. I'll order it, and hopefully this will solve my problem.

The cracked tube will affect your idle and will affect the transition to higher speeds. Also, check your float valve, to be sure it is not sticking.

There are several vacuum hoses on the back and front of the carbs. Make sure you put them back correctly and everything is tight.

If you did not put the carbs back exactly in the order that they were on the motor, the vacuum balance may be off. This also affects idle and pickup.

There is also a acceleration/deceleration diaphragm that needs to be adjusted properly. it generally affects rapid acceleration/deceleration.
