Fuel Hose Fitting
I have an 80s BF100 Honda S/N B100L-1600290. The "male" fuel fitting on the motoor has a pointed round locking post and a blunt round fuel inlet. I am looking for the "female" hose quick disconnect fitting that mates up to the motor. I called up the local Honda outboard dealer and they said I have to do a $45 retrofit because the plastic quick disconnect fitting is no longer available. I find this a bit hard to believe. I see female fittings for other motors like Yamaha, Envinrude, & Mariner that look similar for 6 to 8 bucks. Does anyone know if a fitting for another brand motor would fit this older Honda?
