Default Freshwater flush of engine after salt water use

I have a 2006, 150 hp Honda which is used in salt water here in Sitka, Alaska. I trailer the boat so can easily flush after each use. I
use the garden hose adaptor that is on the engine and flush the motor after
each use with fresh water for at least 10 minutes per the owners manual. I
also use salt away at the end of the freshwater flush using their adapter. I do not run the motor
while flushing per the direction in the manual. However, I was wondering
if I should also use "ear muffs" on the lower unit and run the engine until warm before the flush per the owners manual with garden hose attachment on side of engine. I am not sure the Honda garden hose attachment on the side of the engine actually runs water through the head as the thermostats would not open using the cold water. Do any of you have recommendations as to whether I should also run the engine until warm using
the lower unit "ear muffs" so as to flush the head with freshwater, opening the 2 thermostats or simply
follow the owners manual using the flush port Honda provided when they built
the motor? Thanks for any info. or thoughts you can provide.

The fresh water flush will flush it well enough.
