Default Carb BF15D

i have the BALJ-1300217 serial #

2005 BF15D6SHSA, what is the part #and cost of a new carb?

i looked online and did not see the one for my motor,
the engine # is BEALJ-1015999

i had the carb cleaned but still have the same problem, motor stalls, would it be more cost effective to buy a new carb verse continue with original carb?

im not sure if this is a 2005 or 2006 motor? can you tell?

It is a 2006 (D6).

Part number for the carb should be 16100-ZY0-813. Since it is electric start, it should have the auto bystarter assy on it.

Default thanks for clearing that up

Thanks mike, i was wondering about that, that's why i posted the numbers to get your clarification on it.

when i purchased the boat, the 2005 manual came from the previous owner.

i noticed the registration/license had prod 2006 so i was not clear about the year of the motor.

i looked online in the parts section and noticed the 2005 yr went thru 120000-129999, and the 2006 starts at 130000.

i have the 1300217 serial #

Default does honda use serial # for hp data also

i know the serial # is correct, it is 1300217, the cowling emission data states
engine family is 6HNXM 3502G0 and in white is a small 5D on the cowling.

the oil filter is 3 1/4" long on this outboard,

does the 05 use a smaller oil filter? i must of bought the wrong one..
yes, it is an electric start.

thanks again mike

Not sure of the size...I am not at work to check. The part number should be 15400-PFB-014. It may also be 15400-PFB-004 (an older number).

Default ultrsonic carb cleaner

mike, do the ultrasonic cleaners work best for the Honda Carbs with the very small ports?

the Honda dealer i used did'nt use one, he used the acid soak, which is best in your opinion?
