Default BFP8 remove/replace jet set

First: I'm sure this has been covered before, but I'm having real difficulties with the search engine here...

I have a BFP8 that sat idle several months without fuel treatment (my bad). Now I'm paying... Very hard to start, and it stalls out if I try to run it much above idle. Starts and runs with starter fluid.

I tried green foam; no real help there.

I pulled the carb, and pulled out the main jet (part 25 on http://www.boats.net/parts/search/Honda/Outboard... ). It does not appear clogged.

Next I want to pull and inspect the jet set (part 18 on the same diagram). I removed the main nozzle, but the jet set doesn't "pop" out, and without the factory manual, I'm not willing to just stuff pliers in there an pull! (Don't have the factory manual yet)

Question: How do I pull the jet set?

Thanks so very much - I want to be back out on the Bay!

Normally can take the handle of a screwdriver and push down on top of it to get loose, it shouldn't be hard to get out.
