After returning from a trip to the keys, I was doing some maintenance checks on the BF90 and noticed what looked and smelled like lower unit oil seaping from a small hole near the Vent and Level plug screws. I change the lower unit fluid every 6 months, and have never seen this before.

The 1/8" hole is just to the right of the fluid level plug. I will attach a picture after I figure out how.

The hole looks to be factory made. Is this a indicator of a seal leaking ?

I don.t think it was from lower unit. It was from upper
Drop the lower unit and see.
