BF8 Stalls at higher RPMs
It seems that at higher RPM's this motor stalls out and dies.
At times, if I squeeze the primer bulb connected to the gas tank a few times and crank it up, it will usually start right up and run.
This makes me think that it's a clogged carb and starving for fuel.
Then other times, it won't start for 10 minutes, but if I just let it sit a bit, it will start up again.
This makes me think it's a leak in the float bowl and it's flooding.
If I keep the RPM's just barely above idle, I seem to be able to run it as long as I need/want to.
It does not run on choke at all. Choke is good only for starting the engine, but quickly needs to be shut off before dying.
thanks for any help,
