Default BF25 water in Crankcase

The head gasket on my BF25 blew last season. Ran quite a distance on 2 quarts Penzoil 1 quart salt water. Installed new head gasket + valve job but now not holding oil pressure. Taking engine block to machine shop for tear down in AM. Anyone know torque specs for rod bolts and case bolts? Bearing clearances?

Rod bolt torque is 17.4 ft-lbs
crankcase and head bolts are 21.0 ft-lbs then an additional 90 degree turn.
Standard oil clearance on rods is 0.010-0.028mm, main brg is 0.020-0.044mm

Thanks for information. According to the machinist rod and main bearings are specified using a color code system to achieve the indicated clearances. Should be ready for reassembly this week. This BF25 is one of the first manufactured put into service 93 or 94 and was other wise running perfectly.

BEWARE: To owners of 4 stroke outboards if when changing motor oil a small amount of water comes out before the oil, pay heed because most likely the head gasket is starting to go. Replacing head gasket is surprisingly simple on mid range Honda models and way cheaper than a rebuild.

Arrow Gunked up

Well, how bout that! guys at the machine shop inspected the bearings and crankshaft and everything looked practically new. Very little evidence of wear on any of the components. They did flush alot of congealed sea water motor oil gunk out of all the nooks and crannies of the engine case. Obviously this is what was responsible for the low oil pressure indication. Motor once again running like a watch with oil pressure indicator glowing a reassuring green
