The serial number plate is missing on my Honda BF15A. Is there another place where i can find it other than on the transom bracket? I suspect the bracket was replaced at some point but the s/n plate not reapplied. I'm trying to determine the year of the motor.

There may be a engine number on engine block but not all engines had the number stamped on them.
