bf130 issue
Hello i am new to the forum and i have a question, i have dual 1998 honda bf 130's on my worldcat and i had a problem with my starboard motor, what would happen was while underway i would occasionaly lose rpms in that motor about 1000 less than the other motor, than it would resume back to normal it seemed like it would happen more often under a heavier load (strong tide or in a turn). well i replaced the spark plugs and water seperator and checked the fuel filter, i did notice that while pumping the ball i had a small drip of gas coming from the bottom of the second fuel filter on the motor so i tightened the screw on the bottom of it and it seemed my problem had been solved as during a test run the boat ran great. that takes me to the next week, the starboard motor had a little bit of a rough start then 5 minutes into my trip the rpm's drop by a 1000 again only for about 30 seconds then not at all that day however now whenever i started both motors and put them into gear they are both shuttering and stalling and i have to gun the engines to avoid a stall??? i bought the boat last year and as far as i know the only recall work that was done was the powerheads.
I took the boat out again today and same issue 2 minutes into trip 1000rpm loss in starboard motor for 0 seconds then fine all day and both motors stalling everytime i shift into gear any thoughts???
