I have a 7.5 S/n is B100S 1702975. Would love to know the year. The problem it is having is that after it warms up it shuts down. It idles smooth and will idle forever. If you open the throttle it will shut down after about 30 seconds every time. Would be greatful for any help

It's a 1985 model BF100F. Probably need to removed and clean carb.

I have taken carb off and cleaned. This helped an idle problem it was having.
At that point I hooked the hose up to it ran and it ran great. I then took it to the lake where at first it seemed great until I throttled up then it would run between 30 seconds and 1 minute and shut down. It will then start back up and do the same thing. My dad bought this new and we have never had a problem one with it. I am really leaning toward fuel pump but am also wondering if these will shutdown if overheating as in maybe the water pump is not putting out what it should. Thanks for the year and model my dad was thinking 85 but was not quite sure
