Default B100L Ignition Issue

Recently I had my B100L serviced for a long overdue check-up. It worked fine for the first outing. My motor is equiped with a charger which I wired - up and hooked up to my 12V battery for the first time since I got the motor back in the early 1990's. Upon return for my next outing, about two weeks later, the motor would not start. I tried all the usual checks but still no spark. Could I have reverse wired the charger and burned out a coil during my absence? (or some similar electrical problem?) And if so what are my options for repair?

As long as the wiring was not crossed then it shouldn't have affected the ignition circuit.
