My Honda 9.9hp only runs if the choke is half way open. Push choke to full open it dies immediately. I've added a lot of carb cleaner and have removed the carb, but don't see anything wrong. It has about 100 hours total running time, new plugs, and it's a 1980-1981 make, but hasn't been run much the last couple of years. Any ideas are very appreciated. Thanks. Bill

It's not getting enough gas, the carb still has plugged passages or jets in it. The carb needs to be cleaned.
