Hi guys I'm new to the site and i have a 1985 7.5 honda out board i think it has very weak spark it will run as long as you hold throttle in the start position but back it off and it dies can ye help me please thanks. carb clean as a whistle .
I have read they have very weak spark .so I was woundering is the spark to weak at a low rpm to keep it going

Most likely you have a clogged idle circuit in your carburator.

It is possible you have bad compression or timing is bad...but the dirty carburator is the most common problem for this kind of problem.
