Hey guys,
I am new to the forum and have already learned so much about the 225 I never knew. One question, can you take a new ECM and put it on a 2003 225 and get the updated technology? I guess it would depend on whether or not the wiring harness has changed and second, would the motor accept the new technology? I was wanting to get the BLAST, better fuel mileage, etc. Anyone who can answer, I would apprecitate it. If there is no way, I will just save the money. Also, are the 2011 ECM's available or would I need to wait until next year? I see they show 2007 and up for the ECM, but no 2011 and up. Thanks again and glad to be here.

Why do you need new ecm for ?
It doesn,t effect your engine performance.
I would,t spend 1,500 $ for ecm.

Thanks for the response. I thought it would bring the motor up to the new technology, with the BLAST system and all of that new stuff. Anyone think this would work? If not, you are correct, the extra money is not worth it, I will just get the lower unit changed to a Sabre and go on with it.
