Default 2000 90hp tilt/trim leaking

I have a small leak on the tilt/trim. I have to fill a small amount, every month or so. I have a couple questions?

1) Is there any harm in continuing just to fill the tilt/trim?
2) Is there a seal kit that canbe purchased, I have heard you have to buy the rod to get the kit which makes no sense?
3) If I have to replace the rod or rebuild the seal, do I have to remove the whole engine, or just lock it up with the levers?

Thanks,
Tim

If oil is leaking out then water may be getting in.
The trim cylinder seals are available but the tilt ram seals are not available without getting tilt ram assy. Here is the parts diagram Honda Outboard Parts 2000 BF90AY LRTA MARINE ENGINE, JPN, VIN# BBBL-4200001 POWER TRIM TILT Diagram

Are the trim seals part 35, 32 and 37? And the tilt ram assy part 27? Does the motor have to come off to replace the tilt ram?

Yes that is right parts, probably need orings 36 and 39 as well. No the trim motor won't have to be removed.

You should be able to get apart without removing unit from bracket.

I just bought a honda 7.5 longshaft for my sailboat. The engine runs great and bought the amount of outflow from the water holes is not a strong stream. I have only run it for a few minutes and the engine seems to get pretty warm. Should the stream be strong as on a 2 stroke? Where can I find the actual year of manufacture? and how difficult is an impeller or water pump change?
